It's time to move on.
17 Dec 2011

Some news I need to share as it will no doubt affect the future of the healing services in Linton that many of you have supported over the last 5 years.

Myself and my wife Louise have recently handed in our notice with the Churches in Linton and will leave at the end of 2011 after 7 years of working together in the areas of youthwork, worship leading and the Churches together healing services.

We have felt a strong calling from God to do this, in faith, not being certain of what we'll go on to do but simply to trust Him that He has a plan and will open new doors as we go (feel a bit like Abraham!)

We have had some strong confirmations of this calling and are confident it's the right thing to do.

How this affects the healing services in Linton remains to be seen and there is much to discuss with the local Churches over this.

It's possible someone else may be able to take over from me in the organization of the healing services but it's also possible they may be dramatically reduced in number to perhaps quarterly events or they may finish completely at the end of this year.

Even if someone else does come forward to take on the work I think the services will certainly take a break during early 2012.

For those in the Cambridgeshire area, do keep watching the local "Across the City" publication where the healing services have always been advertised and if they do continue, will still be advertised.

A huge thanks to all who have supported the healing services in Linton, it has truly been an honour to have overseen them.

Louise and I would appreciate your prayers as we seek God over our future.

EVERY BLESSING.
ADRIAN.

Final Healing Service for 2011 - Friday 2nd Dec
15 Nov 2011

The final healing service for 2011 and the final healing service that I'll be overseeing will happen on the evening of Friday 2nd Dec. The venue will be Linton URC Hall, Horn Lane, Linton, Cambs, CB21 4HT. Doors will open at 7:30 and the service will start at 8pm.

Speaking and ministering for this service will be Steve Campbell from C3 Church in Cambridge, here's a little info:

Steve Campbell moved to Cambridge in 1994, from pastoring in the North West of England, to head up the leadership team of C3. He is a world class communicator and has been involved in teaching and preaching in this country and overseas, particularly with leaders and in Bible school settings. He is married to Angie and they have 3 wonderful children, Joshua, Rebekah and Megan.

All are more than welcome to attend this service and admission is, as ever, completely free.

Do remember the leaders of the 3 Churches in your prayers as they seek God over the future of the healing services in Linton.

Many are asking what myself and my wife Louise are going to do next. The truth is, we're not sure at the point of writing this. We feel strongly that God called us, back in August, to lay down the work we've been involved with for the 3 Churches in Linton these last 7 years and trust Him that He would reveal the next step for us in His way and His time. Do remember us in your prayers as we step out of the boat and walk on the water.

Many, many thanks to everyone who has participated in and supported the Churches Together healing services in Linton these last 5 years. God has done wonderful things among us and we give Him all the glory!

GOD BLESS.

ADRIAN.

ROGER & FAITH FORSTER TO SPEAK AND MINISTER IN LINTON - Fri 27th May 2011
5 Apr 2011

Linton Churches Together are delighted to announce that both Roger and Faith Forster will be visiting us to speak and minister at our Friday May 27th healing service.

The service will be held in the Linton Village College hall, Linton, Cambs, CB21 4JB. The service will start at 8 pm. Admission is free and all are more than welcome to attend this special evening of worship, teaching and prayer ministry.

I would advise anyone who wants to come to get there as early as they can after 7pm as there will be 230 seats available and I have a feeling they will not take long to fill.

Here's a little info on Roger and Faith:

Roger and Faith Forster founded and co-lead the Ichthus Christian Fellowship which currently comprises 15 London congregations, a network of 80 UK link churches and workers overseas in approximately 16 nations.

They both preach, pastor and pray and have seen many wonderful healings and a few miracles in their years of ministry. Their son was healed of cancer when he was 15 years old, today he is married with 3 children and leads a Church himself.

 www.ichthus.org.uk

Roger Forster

Roger Forster attended St. John's College, Cambridge, where he graduated in mathematics and theology. After a period in the Royal Air Force, he worked as an itinerant evangelist until 1974 when he established the Ichthus Christian Fellowship. Among his many responsibilities, he is chairman of the council for the Evangelical Alliance and honorary vice president of Tearfund.

Roger was one of the founders of March for Jesus, and was on the board of the AD2000 Movement and the council of the Evangelical Missionary Alliance for many years. He has been involved with the Evangelical Alliance since the early 1970s as a member of Council and has served on a number of EA committees.

Roger has written many papers and booklets on a variety of topics. He is also the author of several books that include 'God's Strategy in Human History', 'Reason, Science and Faith', 'Finding the Path', 'Explaining Fasting', 'Christianity, Evidence and Truth', 'The Kingdom of Jesus', 'Prayer', 'Trinity', and 'Suffering and the Love of God'.

According to Andrew Walker, a leading commentator on the British New Church Movement, Roger is considered to have "one of the finest minds in the Evangelical constituency." Theologian and author Greg Boyd dedicated his 2007 book The Jesus Legend to Forster, stating that "for fifty years Roger has tirelessly and selflessly served the Kingdom with intellectual brilliance and Christ-like sacrifice."

Faith Forster

Faith Forster has been involved in Christian ministry and leadership for many years alongside her husband Roger. Within Ichthus, Faith heads up the training department, running the Radical Network course in church leadership and church planting and the Summer Project course in evangelism as well as the monthly Bible School. In addition she preaches, teaches and pastors, and has also served on a number of boards and councils. She believes passionately in the power of prayer and the Word of God, and loves to see lives transformed by these means.

Do come along on 27th May if you're able to and please do pray for the service.
