There's Been A Miracle!

I have suffered from ME for the past 8 years. 16 months ago my health deteriorated severely, rendering me totally bedridden. I was too weak to sit up, I could only speak for 10 minutes or so every 30 minutes to an hour, I also had multiple symptoms and severe over-sensitivities, especially to noise and, to a lesser extent, light. I also suffered chronic severe pain. Due to, I believe, following a very strict pacing program, I did start to make very small improvements in August 2006, although by early December 2006 I was still totally bedridden and could only sit up for 2 minutes or so once daily.

 

At the start of December 2006 I was listening to an audio book, "Love Never Fails" by Adrian Rose, (www.adrian-rose.com) and was reading small passages from the written version of the same book (the ME prevented me from reading more than 1 or 2 paragraphs a few times daily). Love Never Fails has been written by a young man who suffered severe ME for 8 years before God stepped in and dramatic healing took place, followed by a gradual/sustained recovery period, involving no relapse at all.

 

As I was reading Adrian's book God suddenly placed a deep conviction in my heart that He was going to heal me, and ME was not going to be the life sentence that I always thought it would be. This conviction was so strong that I got my bemused carer to phone my sister and share the good news. By nature I am a sceptical person and this behaviour was totally out of character!

 

As surely as I knew God was going to heal me, I thought He meant in a few years time, not the next day! On the following morning (Friday 8th December), on impulse, I rang Adrian Rose and he was at home, he was lovely and we prayed together and then, on that very afternoon, God answered our prayers in a powerful way. I got out of bed, showered, dressed and I haven't returned to it since (except at bedtime of course!) I still have a few symptoms at present but God has promised me faithfully that He will restore me to full health in His own perfect time and way, which may be days, or maybe months . . . it's simply in God's hands!

 

All I can say is that I know I was extremely ill and firmly believe the dramatic improvements that I've recently experienced could not have happened through my own strength and I just wanted to share this blessing with you all.
